Dropped $120 on a Fluke clamp meter and it caught a phantom drain in 2 minutes that I'd been chasing for 3 days
Idk why I waited so long to buy one, my old multimeter just wasn't picking up that intermittent draw on the backup nav system, has anyone else had luck with a specific brand for troubleshooting weird electrical gremlins?

Man that sounds super satisfying though, finally killing that drain after 3 days. Those intermittent draws are the worst, they drive you nuts cause you can never tell if you're actually making progress or just chasing ghosts.
Nothing worse than electrical gremlins that mock you with a working system half the time.

Saw a YouTube mechanic say intermittent electrical issues are usually a loose ground or a relay starting to fail. Something about heat expanding the contacts so they work temporarily, then cool down and lose connection again. Makes you appreciate the simple fixes even more after chasing something like that for days.
