After stripping a mount bolt, I torque all avionics mounts to spec. No problems since.

Oh man this is so true for everything, not just bolts. People never read the manual until they break something expensive. My buddy fried his whole gaming PC because he didn't check the power supply specs before plugging stuff in. It's like we're all wired to ignore the rules until we get slapped in the face by the results. That little moment of pain sure does make you a believer in doing things right the next time.

So you had to strip a bolt before you decided to use a torque wrench? Classic move, learning the hard way. It's like the universe's way of teaching us to follow instructions, but only after we mess up. Avionics mounts are no joke, and getting the torque right is key to avoiding vibrations and failures. I can't believe how many people skip the spec sheet until something goes wrong. Glad you figured it out, even if it cost you a bolt.

Strip a bolt first to really appreciate the torque wrench later.
