Cash upfront only. That whole "pay the driver when they show up" thing is how people get burned. Driver says the card machine is broken, or they want Venmo, or the app already charged you but the guy swears it didn't. You hand over cash and now you're fighting two sides for your money back. $850 is a cheap lesson. Never pay cash on a moving job, ever.
