Shipping a car cross country: pay extra for enclosed or trust the open carrier?
I went with open transport for my move from Chicago to Austin and the driver walked around the car with me before loading, pointing at a door ding from a parking lot and saying "this one is already here, right?" We both took pictures and it made the drop off easy. But a buddy paid $400 more for enclosed and swears it is worth it. Which way do you lean for a daily driver?
