A broker in Reno quoted me $450 to move a Civic, then the driver asked for $700 at pickup
This happened three weeks ago when I was trying to get my daughter's Honda from Reno to Phoenix, and the broker (some guy named Dave from a company I will not name) gave me a firm $450 quote over the phone. The driver showed up 6 days late and said the price was now $700 cash or he was leaving the car on the street, so I paid it because I had no other way to get it down there. Has anyone figured out a way to lock in a real price before the truck shows up? I'm trying to move a second car in June and I am not doing this again.
