$150 deposit gone after booking a broker instead of calling the carrier myself
I booked through a broker in April to move my son's Civic from Denver to Phoenix and paid a $150 deposit up front, then the pickup window slid four days and nobody would answer the phone. When I finally called a carrier directly in Phoenix, they quoted me $120 less and picked the car up the next morning, so the broker basically charged me a fee to do nothing. Has anyone here actually gotten a deposit back from a broker, or should I just eat the $150 and warn people off?
