Watched my car hauler quote go from $650 to $1,100 in 10 days, what happened
I booked a move from Denver to Tucson and started getting transport quotes on the 1st of the month. First quote came back at $650, and I figured I would keep shopping for a bit before locking anything in. By the 11th, every single quote I pulled was sitting between $1,050 and $1,100, same route, same car, same time of year. One dispatcher told me a bunch of drivers had shifted to running the northern corridors instead, so the trucks heading south just dried up. Is this normal when you wait too long to book, and should I just eat the higher price or hold out for it to drop back down?
