My car hauler showed up 2 days late in Nashville and I had to make a call at 11pm
Honestly I should've known something was off when the dispatcher stopped answering my texts the night before pickup. I had my Corolla scheduled to go from Nashville to Albuquerque, quoted 5 to 7 days, deposit paid, everything confirmed. Day 6 comes and nothing. I call the main line and get some guy who tells me the driver broke down outside Memphis and my car was still sitting in a lot. It's 11pm and I'm supposed to fly out at 6am the next morning. I ended up having to call my brother to come get my spare key and move the car to his place so it wouldn't just sit there. The company gave me $50 off and a new pickup date but I had to eat the cost of a rental for 3 days in New Mexico. Tbh the part that bugged me most was nobody called me first, I had to chase them down. Has anyone else dealt with a broker that just goes quiet after you pay? How did you get them to actually pick up the phone?
