Just realized the lady at the pickup lot in Tulsa was right about my photos and I hate it
So I sold a car last year and used one of those online transport boards to find a hauler. First quote I got, the driver calls me up and asks if I have better pictures of the rocker panels. I said no, that's what I got, and he passed on the job. Didn't think much of it. Then a buddy who moves cars for a living looked at my listing and said straight up, "Man, your pics make the car look worse than it is, you're scaring off the good guys." I had shot everything in my dark garage at like 9pm with the dome light on, shadows everywhere. So I backed the car out into the driveway in Tulsa on a Sunday morning and reshot all 12 angles in daylight, plus a close-up of every panel. Took me 20 minutes. Next listing had 3 calls before lunch and the guy who hauled it to Amarillo actually thanked me for the photos. Now I shoot every car in the open no matter how cold it is. Anyone else get burned by bad listing pics before?
Used to figure pictures were pictures and good enough was good enough, but daylight shots made a believer out of me. Cheap lesson once you eat the cost of a passed job.
