Just realized booking my car transport 5 weeks early saved me $220 over the rush quote
I shipped my Civic from Phoenix to Portland and the first quote I got was $890 because I called 4 days out. I tried booking through a broker 5 weeks ahead instead and the same route came in at $670, no haggling needed. The dispatcher explained that open carriers fill up fast and early slots go cheaper since drivers plan routes around full loads. Is early booking really the main lever on price, or am I missing something bigger here?
