Almost bailed on the $850 door to door quote from a guy named Sal in Newark, and I was wrong
Last month I needed my Civic hauled from Newark to Austin and a broker named Sal quoted me $850 when two other places wanted $1,200 up front with no real pickup date. I figured the low price meant my car would sit in a lot for weeks, but he had a driver on it in 3 days and the car showed up with 12 miles on the odometer and a clean bill. Has anyone else had a lowball quote from a smaller broker work out fine, or did I just get lucky this once?
