Spent 3 hours chasing a fisheye on a respray, turned out the door was off the rack
Had a black Camry in bay 2 last Tuesday for a full respray on the passenger side. Sprayed it, cleared it, and the door looked wavy as hell under the lights. I sanded it back down and re-cleared it twice thinking my gun was the problem. Pulled the door off the rack finally and the hinge mount was tweaked a quarter inch, so the panel was twisted the whole time. Now I've got 3 extra hours of sanding in a door that needs to go on a frame machine first. Anybody else eating hours because you trusted the rack instead of checking the gaps yourself?
