PPG vs Sherwin-Williams clear coat: which one lets you down less?
Had a fender I painted last Thursday look perfect for about 6 hours. Then it got a run in the clear that I swear just appeared out of nowhere. PPG has been my go-to for years but I'm starting to think Sherwin-Williams holds up better in humidity. What's your experience been like with either brand on tricky jobs like metallic flake?

Ugh that phantom run thing is the worst, I feel your pain.

Yeah "phantom run thing" instantly made me think of what happened to my friend Sarah last week lol. She was grocery shopping and saw her ex walk down the same aisle, so she literally ducked behind a display of canned beans and waited until he was gone. Then she realized he wasn't even her ex, just some random guy with a similar haircut and jacket. She texted me afterwards like "I just phantom ran from a stranger for 5 minutes and I have no self respect left." I couldn't stop laughing because I've totally done that too, just not as dramatically as hiding behind beans. It's like your brain short circuits and suddenly you're an undercover spy over absolutely nothing.
