My paint sprayer decided to redecorate the shop ceiling yesterday

I was finishing a clear coat on a Honda Civic when the air hose fitting blew off. It shot a perfect arc of clear coat across the ceiling, about 15 feet long. My coworker just looked up from his sanding and said, 'Nice touch, adds character.' I had to shut everything down and spend an hour cleaning the gun and wiping drips off the floor. Anyone have a good trick for keeping those fittings tight?

That fitting should have been checked before you started spraying.

My old apartment had a leaky faucet for months because I kept putting off checking the washer. It's wild how many small problems just get way worse because the first step feels like a chore. I mean, you see it with everything from car stuff to just cleaning the gutters. That five minute check always seems to save a five hour mess later.

Reminds me of the time my buddy, @abbyr96, forgot to check his oil cap before a road trip. Whole engine bay got coated in a fine mist, took ages to clean up. Just a simple check would've saved so much hassle lol.
