Last Wednesday was the worst day I've had in this trade in years
I was working on a 2018 Toyota Camry rear quarter panel in my shop near Portland when my welder died halfway through a seam. Then the replacement panel I ordered showed up with a big dent right in the middle from shipping. Has anyone else had a string of bad luck like that where nothing goes right for a whole shift?

Three Toyotas in a row gave me hell last month, my plasma cutter decided to take a vacation on a 2016 Corolla, and I spent a whole Saturday fighting with a bumper cover that just refused to line up. I swear, some shifts feel like the universe is personally out to get you, especially when you're already running behind. The dent in that replacement panel is the worst kind of insult because it's not your fault but you still have to fix it before you can even start. You ever try to straighten out shipping damage with a heat gun and a prayer while your backup welder is sputtering like a dying lawnmower? Just got to laugh about it or you'll end up throwing tools across the shop.

Hang in there, man. I swear the universe has these weird tipping points where once one thing goes wrong, everything else just follows like dominoes. I've noticed it happens everywhere, not just in a shop. Like you'll spill your coffee, then hit every red light, then realize you forgot your wallet at home. It's like the universe decides it's your turn for a bad day and just keeps piling it on. The saddest part is that dent in the panel, because you know you did everything right and still got screwed by some guy tossing boxes at a warehouse. Just gotta ride it out and remember it's never personal, even when it feels like it.
