I know everyone loves the new water-based clear coats, but I had a nightmare with one on a 2018 F-150 in Boise last spring.

Yeah I've stripped three of those off now, humidity kills the adhesion every time.

Honestly, that tracks. It feels like every new "improved" product is a gamble now. They'll fix one issue and create two new ones. My mom's new dishwasher has a "water saving" mode that just leaves film on everything. My neighbor's "low VOC" paint peeled right off his trim in the humidity. The update is never just the fix.
