Had to pull a quarter panel on a 2018 F-150 that should have been a 2 hour job, took me 6.

The problem was the factory seam sealer. It was like concrete and the factory manual didn't mention the extra adhesive they used behind the inner structure. I went through three blades on my cut-off wheel just getting through it. Finally called a buddy at a Ford dealership who told me they use a specific 3M adhesive remover disc for those trucks. Wasted half a day before I got the right tool. What's the worst hidden fastener or adhesive you've run into on a newer model?

Forget hidden fasteners, the real killer is when they change the adhesive formula mid-model year. Got burned on a '21 Silverado where the service bulletin was already outdated.

Ugh, tell me about it! My '19 F-150 had the same junk happen with the door seals.

FoMoCo switched to betalink sealer mid production and didn't tell anyone.
