Finally sprayed a door that doesn't look like it came off a farm truck
Three years ago I was spraying doors in my driveway in Modesto and every single one came out with orange peel you could read braille on. Last month I got tired of blaming my gun and finally built a real spot in the back of the shop with plastic sheeting and two box fans pulling air out. Turns out my booth was half the problem, the other half was me holding the gun too far back like an idiot. Shot a silver door for a 2016 Civic on Tuesday and the clear laid down flat with no runs and no dry spots. Five coats, 10 minutes flash between each, and I just stood there staring at it. What finally clicked it for you guys, gun settings or just spraying a hundred more doors until your arm learns?
