Bought a cheap spot welder off Amazon, cost me double in the long run
Picked up one of those $89 spot welders from some brand I can't even pronounce, figured it'd be fine for the light duty stuff I do in my garage in Portland. First real job on a 2012 Civic quarter panel, it kept sputtering and leaving weak welds, had to redo everything with my buddy's hightech unit. Between the wasted metal and two extra hours of my Saturday, I basically paid for the nice one anyway. Anyone else get burned by skimping on tools that seem too good to be true?
