Trying to get a permit for a backyard shed in Decatur turned into a six week email chain with the county.
Has anyone else dealt with the zoning office and found a faster way to get a straight answer?

Ugh, tell me about it. I had to call them three times just to figure out which form I needed. The only thing that kinda worked was asking for a supervisor right away. They still took forever, but at least the supervisor gave me a real answer instead of sending me in circles. Honestly, I think they just make it hard on purpose. Good luck, you're gonna need it.

Bringing my paperwork with a checklist of what I needed finally got them to process it in one visit.
