Showerthought: My $75 on a MARTA monthly pass was a waste until I tried the bus to the airport

I kept paying for the pass just for the trains, thinking the buses were too slow. Last Tuesday, my ride fell through for a 6 AM flight, so I took the 191 from Brookhaven Station. It cost nothing extra, was empty, and got me right to the domestic terminal in 35 minutes. Anyone else find a bus route that actually works better than driving?

Seriously? That's a one time fluke. The 191 is a total gamble. I've been on it stuck in airport traffic for over an hour, watching my flight time tick down. Most bus routes are unreliable like that. You got lucky with an empty bus at dawn on a Tuesday. Try that same trip on a Friday afternoon or when there's any accident on 85. You'd miss your flight and regret not just paying for an Uber.

Yeah but I always leave like three hours early for airport trips, just in case. It's saved me a couple times when the bus got stuck.

Ha, I feel this right in my wallet. I once took a bus that was so empty the driver asked if I was sure I was at the right stop, and I still almost missed my connection because I forgot buses actually stop for people.
