People keep calling the connector at Hartsfield 'the Plane Train' and it's not the same thing

I see this all the time in visitor questions, but the Plane Train is the automated people mover inside the airport that goes between concourses. The actual heavy rail MARTA train that takes you downtown is just called the Red or Gold line, and you get it from the separate Airport station. It matters because telling a tourist to 'take the Plane Train to Midtown' will leave them very confused at baggage claim. Has anyone else had to clear this up for friends or family coming into town?

I flew through Atlanta last month and heard a gate agent give that exact wrong direction. The person still found their way after asking someone else, so the mix up is real. But honestly, most visitors will figure it out after a quick look at the signs. It's a minor wording thing that gets fixed with one follow up question.

Classic Atlanta. The gate agents are basically giving out a secret first level to the airport maze. If you can't figure out out from their "helpful" hint, you don't deserve to make your connection. It's like a little test before you get to the real challenge of the train. Honestly, I'm just impressed the traveler found another human to ask who knew the right answer. That's the real miracle at Hartsfield-Jackson.
