My barber on Ralph David Abernathy told me to quit saying the A like that, and it stuck with me
I was in the chair last month and he asked where I was from because I kept saying "Atlant-uh" instead of "Atlanna," and he gave me a whole history lesson on why the second T disappears. I still mess it up half the time but now I hear it every time I say it. Anyone else here get corrected on the local pronunciation, or is it just me?
