Just realized my open house signs were basically invisible
A fellow agent at a coffee shop in Decatur told me last month, 'Your signs look like they're from 2005, man. People just drive right by.' I was using those basic white plastic ones with black letters you get in a 50-pack. He said in our market, you need a big photo of the house, a clear QR code, and a bright color that isn't just white. I changed my next listing in Kirkwood to a bright blue sign with a large picture and a QR code that goes straight to the virtual tour. Got three calls from the sign alone in the first weekend, which never happened before. What's the one thing you changed about your local marketing that actually got people to stop and look?

That bright color tip is spot on, switching to yellow signs finally got me some attention.

I tried red signs for my garage sale last year and got maybe five people all weekend. Switched to neon green this spring and had a steady crowd both days. It's crazy how much of a difference just the color makes. Yellow is a great choice because it stands out against all the natural greens and browns outside. I'm never going back to basic colors for anything I want people to notice.

Honestly, why do people still use those boring signs? @clairem81 is right about the neon green, it just grabs your eye. Tbh, a bright color is the easiest fix you can make.
