I was dead set against those electric scooters downtown until my commute got wrecked

Man I used to rant about those Lime scooters being a sidewalk menace. Then my car broke down last Tuesday and I had to get from Midtown to a client meeting in 20 minutes. Hopped on one and actually made it with 5 minutes to spare. Now I kinda get why people use them even if some riders are still idiots. Anyone else have a change of heart about something they hated in this city?

Man I still can't get on board with those things. Yeah they might save time sometimes but I've almost been hit twice by riders blowing through crosswalks while I'm trying to turn left on Peachtree. Not to mention the ones who ditch them in the middle of the sidewalk or block the bus stop ramp. One ride doesn't erase the daily chaos they cause for the rest of us. Do you really think the convenience is worth all the sidewalk clutter and near misses?

Those scooters probably move more people in 10 minutes than the bus does in an hour.
