Honestly, the new food hall at Ponce City Market is getting way too much hype

Tbh, I went there last Thursday around 7 PM and the whole vibe felt off. I paid $18 for a plate of tacos that were just lukewarm and soggy. The place was packed, sure, but the line for the good ramen spot was literally 45 people deep, snaking past three other stalls. Everyone online acts like it's the best spot in Atlanta now, but it just felt like a crowded, overpriced maze. The noise was so bad I could barely hear my friend talk. I get that it's popular, but for that price and hassle, I'd rather hit up a solid local spot on Buford Highway. Has anyone else had a letdown experience there recently, or did I just catch it on a bad night?

Yeah, I saw a review that said the same thing about the noise making it hard to talk. Did you notice if the outdoor seating was any better, or was it just as packed out there? That taco price is wild, I feel like you're just paying for the location at that point.

Honestly I used to think everyone was just being dramatic about it being overhyped. I went there about a month ago when they first opened and thought the whole place was actually pretty cool. But then I went back this past Saturday and yeah, I totally get it now. The ramen line was insane (like 30 people minimum) and I swear the music was so loud I couldn't even hear myself think. Plus I grabbed a burger from that one stall and it was dry and cold by the time I found a table. It's a bummer because I really wanted to like it but I think I'm just gonna stick with my usual spots on Buford Highway from now on.
