Took a photo of the moon with a $20 thrift store telephoto lens
I found an old Vivitar 200mm lens at Goodwill for $20 and tried it on my DSLR last night. The moon came out sharper than my expensive kit lens, so now I'm wondering if I should bother with new gear at all.

Hell yeah, I read somewhere that a lot of those old manual lenses actually have better glass than the new cheap stuff. It's wild how much they overcharge for kit lenses these days.
