One comment about star trails changed my whole processing flow
I posted a Milky Way shot last month and someone pointed out my star trails looked like little commas... turns out I was over-sharpening in Lightroom and then applying noise reduction on top of it. They told me to stack 12 frames instead of just using one long exposure, which sounded nuts for my cheap tracker. I tried it with 8 frames at 30 seconds each and the difference in detail was insane. Now I actually check my corners at 200% zoom before I even think about posting. Has anyone else had a random critique totally rewire their editing habits?
