Finally tried stacking Jupiter images after months of doubting it
I always thought stacking was just overhyped processing till I gave AutoStakkert a shot on my July 15th data from a suburban backyard in Phoenix. Three minutes of video turned into a single frame that showed the Great Red Spot way clearer than any single shot I ever took. The detail blew my mind honestly, like I was seeing a whole new planet. Anybody else have that one processing trick they were stubborn about trying?

300 frames of Jupiter from my backyard in Austin and I almost deleted the stack because I thought it was too good to be real... turned out stacking just pulls out detail you never knew was hiding in your own data. I was dead set against Registax for years thinking it was all hype, then one cloudy night I just ran it on old Saturn footage and saw Cassini's division like a clean knife cut. You're right though, that first great stack is a total game changer, feels like you unlocked a whole new level of your own scope.
