Can we talk about dealing with city lights when shooting the Milky Way?

I can't get clear shots because of all the streetlights.

Man, I feel this so hard. You really gotta drive way out, like at least an hour from any big city, to get away from that glow. Check a light pollution map online to find the closest truly dark spot. Also, shoot on a moonless night and aim your camera away from the direction of the town. A light pollution filter can help a little, but distance is your best fix.

Light pollution maps are a lifesaver, I've done that two-hour drive too and it's totally worth it.

Yeah, joel_kim5 is right, I've driven two hours for a decent shot.
