Am I the only one who thinks the obsession with deep space objects means we miss the beauty in our own solar system?

I was trying to image Jupiter's moons from my backyard in Boise last week, but my auto-guider failed, so I had to manually track for an hour and ended up with a shot that, while imperfect, felt more real than any processed Andromeda photo I've seen. Does anyone else find more value in these messy, hands-on captures?

Check your guide camera connection, I've had that fail from a loose cable. Manual tracking builds character though, and those imperfect shots always feel more like your own work.

Totally, the struggle makes the final image so much sweeter!
