When my printer stopped working, online fixes were no help
Honestly, I searched for hours but every forum post had dead links. Tbh, the advice was always for older models, not mine. Ngl, it made me think back to when you could call a number and get a real person. Those days are long gone.

Funny, I actually find more real help in online communities now than I ever got from those frustrating support calls.

Saw a post on the printer subreddit last week where someone listed every single step they took to fix the exact same error code I had. It was gold. I get what markm27 is saying, because when you find the right niche forum or sub, people go all out. They post pictures, video links, everything. But you have to wade through so much garbage to find those good threads now, all those old bookmarked fixes just lead to dead ends or spam sites.

Ugh, I get that. Honestly though, I think markm27 has a point about finding better help now. Tbh, those old support calls were a nightmare of being on hold just to get someone reading a script. @val406 is right that the good stuff is buried, but when you find a current thread by someone who actually fixed it, that's way better than any scripted call I ever had. The real problem is all the outdated junk clogging up the search results now.
