Back then I was broke and figured the desk was the smart buy because it looked solid. The desk's particle board swelled up from a spilled coffee in Denver and fell apart in 8 months, while the folding table handled moves and spills for 4 years. What's the dumbest cheap thing you still own because nothing else held up?
