TIL a random guy at a bus stop told me something that completely changed how I look at asking questions

I was waiting for the 72 bus on Market Street in Philly around 5 PM last Tuesday when this older dude next to me said 'you're asking the wrong question if you already know the answer you want.' He explained that most people ask questions just to get validation, not real info. Has anyone else had a stranger drop a truth bomb on them like that?

That line about validation really hit me hard. It's wild how many of us ask questions just hoping someone confirms what we already think. Strangers really do drop the best wisdom sometimes.

So do you think we already know the answer before we even ask?
