The difference 6 months of morning watering made to my tomato plants is wild
I started watering my 4 tomato plants at 6am instead of whenever I remembered, usually around 2pm. After about 2 months I noticed the leaves weren't curling up anymore and they looked darker green. By month 4 the stems were thicker than my thumb and I got 30 tomatoes off the first plant alone. Last year I got maybe 8 total from the whole set. Anyone else see huge results just from changing timing like that?

Oh wow, that's a huge difference, I gotta look into that. I actually read something from a gardening blog that said morning watering helps because the leaves dry off faster and that stops fungus from taking hold. Plus the water actually soaks in before the sun gets too hot and just evaporates away. Your stems getting thicker makes sense too, the plants aren't stressed from drying out all day. I bet your roots got way deeper and stronger from that steady morning drink too.

Had a buddy who switched to morning watering last season and his tomatoes looked like they were on steroids compared to mine. Said his plants stopped getting that weird yellow leaf thing too.
