Talking to my uncle made me see old forums in a new light
We were at his place last Sunday and he pulled out an old laptop from 2005. He said, 'Back then, you'd ask a question online and wait three days for one good answer from someone who really knew.' It hit me because I'm used to getting ten replies in ten minutes, but half are just guesses. Made me think about how the 'ask anything' vibe has really changed. Do you ever miss when answers took longer but felt more solid?

My old GameFAQs account had answers that felt like gospel truth.

Man those GameFAQs walkthroughs were like scripture. People would spend hours crafting perfect guides with ASCII art maps and hidden item lists. No ads, no videos, just pure text and passion. You knew the person writing it had already beaten the game three times blindfolded. The guides even had secret codes and glitch explanations that no wiki could match. That level of detail just doesn't exist anymore.

Honestly those old forum answers felt like getting advice from a wise older cousin who actually cared.
