Showerthought: the library in my town has a whole shelf of old phone books and nobody will say why
I went to the public library over on 5th Street last Tuesday to return a book and noticed a whole shelf near the back with old phone books going back to 1998. I asked the lady at the desk and she just shrugged and said they never got the order to clear them out. It bugs me that a shelf that size is taking up space while the kids section is cramped into one corner. Is this normal for small town libraries or is mine just weird about throwing stuff out?
