Noticed something weird about the Ask Anything posts lately

I've been scrolling through here for about two weeks now and I keep seeing people ask questions that are super specific to one thing, like SEO or cooking, but then they don't say what community they're actually in. It's like they just copy and paste the same question everywhere. Doesn't that mess up the whole point of this place being for any kind of question? Has anyone else had trouble getting real answers because of that?

Honestly I used to think the exact opposite... I figured posting the same question everywhere would just get more eyes on it and faster answers. But seeing it spelled out like this makes me realize how stupid that actually is. You end up with a dozen half-baked replies from people who don't know what context you're working in, instead of one solid answer from someone who actually gets your situation. It really does mess up the whole point of this place. I've definitely gotten useless answers before because the person had no clue what community I was really asking for. Kinda makes me think I've been doing it wrong this whole time.

You're not alone in that, I was totally in the same boat. I used to spam my question across five different forums thinking I was being smart about it. But now I see it just splits everything up and nobody gets the full picture. It's like asking five different people for directions but only giving each one a piece of where you're trying to go. You end up with a mess instead of one clear answer that actually makes sense.
