I was sure those noise cancelling headphones were just hype until I tried them on a plane

I flew from Chicago to Seattle last week and borrowed my brother's Sony WH-1000XM4s. I thought the engine noise would still get through, but it was like someone hit a mute button on the whole cabin. The difference was so big I ended up buying a pair myself. Has anyone else had a product they doubted completely change their mind?

Read an article calling them a game changer for travel, and they were totally right.

Honestly I get where @hayes.tara is coming from, but they just don't work for me. I tried a top pair and still felt that weird pressure in my ears the whole flight. I guess my head just isn't built for them.
