Found a simple trick for fixing sticky zippers on jackets

I was having trouble with a winter jacket zipper that kept sticking halfway up. After trying soap and wax with no luck, I rubbed a graphite pencil tip along the teeth and it worked perfectly. The zipper slides smooth now after just 2 passes with a number 2 pencil. Has anyone else tried this or found another method that works better?

Wait, you mean the graphite trick actually WORKS? I always thought that was just an old wives tale.

Markm27 out here acting like graphite is some ancient forbidden magic instead of just pencil shavings. Next thing you'll tell me you don't believe in erasers either. The pencil trick works because graphite is basically dry lubricant, it's not exactly sorcery. Soap and wax just gunk things up worse half the time. But hey, if you want to keep fighting your zipper with butter knives and prayers, be my guest. Have you actually tried it yet or are you just here to question the legitimacy of office supplies?
