Why does nobody talk about the marker graveyard at every art swap
Was digging through a swap box at the library in Sacramento and this guy next to me goes, "any marker that still clicks is fair game." He then pulled out 14 dried out Sharpies and put them back like they were treasure. It got me thinking about how we treat half-dead supplies like they're still worth something just because the cap snaps. I get it, art stuff costs money, but a marker that skips on paper is just a plastic tube with a dream. Made me wonder how many of us are quietly hoarding dead supplies because tossing them feels wrong. Do you actually test markers before you swap them, or just trust the click?
