Vent: Counted my paint tubes and hit 47 that are half full or more

I was cleaning out my studio closet last night and decided to actually count all the paint tubes I had lying around. Turns out I have 47 tubes that still have lots of paint in them but I totally forgot about. That's like 80 dollars worth of paint just sitting there getting crusty! Has anyone else done a count and been shocked by how much you've got?

47 tubes is a lot but honestly I see this same exact pattern everywhere in my friends lives not just paints. People buy stuff for a hobby or project use it once or twice then let it sit and crust up while buying more later. It's like we forget what we already own and the new stuff feels better even if the old stuff works fine. I do it with tools and camping gear constantly.

nah i don't think it's that deep @willowc60, people just like buying stuff lol. it's not like anyone's gonna run out of shelf space or anything.
