Update: I was hoarding the wrong stuff for 2 years and a free box in Portland set me straight
I finally cleared out my closet and had three grocery bags of dried up paint tubes and brushes that had gone stiff, stuff I'd been holding onto since 2022 for no real reason. Then I saw a free box outside an art shop on Alberta St in Portland and someone had left actual usable stuff in it, like a half full tube of decent yellow ochre and a set of barely touched pastels. That's when it hit me that I was keeping junk and giving away nothing while other people were passing along perfectly good supplies. So what's your rule for when a tube is too far gone to even offer up here?
