Tried to clean my brushes with dish soap and ended up with a foamy disaster

I figured dawn would be fine for my oil brushes since it cuts grease, but after 20 minutes of rinsing I still had suds bubbling out of the ferrule. Anyone else have a weird brush cleaning fail that made a mess?

Did you try soaking them in vinegar after, or just let the foam win?

Tried the vinegar soak on my last batch of stubborn grime and it worked way better than I expected! Let it sit for about 15 minutes before scrubbing and everything came off super easy.
