PSA: That one critique about my brush strokes actually fixed my blending

A painter at the local open studio told me I was overworking my acrylics by going back over wet paint too many times. She showed me how to load the brush with less water and lay down colors in one pass. Has anyone else gotten a tip from a stranger that totally changed how you work with paint?

That tip about loading the brush less water sounds like a game changer!

Yeah but you still gotta load the brush enough to get good coverage or the paint dries out too fast. It's more about getting the right balance than just using less.
