My art teacher swore used brushes get better with age, 6 months later I'm fishing hairs out of my gesso
Mrs. Delgado handed me a beat up flat brush from the swap box back in September and promised it would "bloom" once the bristles softened up. It did not bloom, it shed, and I picked 14 loose hairs out of one small canvas before giving up. So what's the real rule here, do you all just toss brushes once they start dropping bristles or is there some trick to saving them?
