I finally got burned by a mystery marker bundle

Found a ziploc bag of 40 alcohol markers at a flea market for $12, thought I was saving a fortune. Turns out half of them were dried solid and the rest were some off-brand that bleeds through everything. Anyone else lose money on those grab bag lots, or do you stick to trading with folks here?

I used to grab every cheap marker lot I saw at places like that, thinking even a few good ones made it worth it. After a $15 bag from a church sale had 30 dead markers and 10 that bled like crazy on cheap paper, I stopped fooling myself. Now I just trade here where people actually show test swatches first.
