Half-empty oil paint set made me a convert to student grade
Grabbed a nearly full Winton set at a garage sale for $8 last Saturday just to get the palette case. I always trashed student grade as chalky garbage, but that label on the tube said it had 40% more pigment than the craft stuff. Tried it on a small canvas yesterday and the flow was way better than my old cheap acrylic habit. Anyone else found decent quality in a grade they used to skip?

Ha, I did the same with a Winsor Newton set and now I'm hooked on their student line!
