Got a half-dried tube of ultramarine at the Austin art swap and it saved my painting

Mixed it with some gel medium at the library workshop last Thursday and it spread better than any fresh tube I've used in 2 years, anyone else had luck reviving old paint like that?

Has anyone tried using a hairdryer on low heat to warm up the tube before squeezing? Honestly I've had luck with that for dried-out paint, it softens it up just enough to work without ruining the pigment. Last month I revived a crusty tube of burnt sienna from 2019 that way and it mixed into a landscape perfectly.

Totally seconding this, @luna_green. I did that with a tube of titanium white that was basically a rock and it came back to life. Worked like a charm for a whole painting session, saved me from buying new.
