Why does everyone pile cold cuts directly on top of wet grapes?

I grabbed a plate at my brother's party Saturday and the ham was literally sitting in a puddle of grape juice, totally ruining the texture. Has anyone else noticed people just throw ingredients on a board with zero thought about what touches what?

Honestly, that's the worst. But here's what gets me - if they washed the grapes right before, why wouldn't they dry them off first? Like, are we just supposed to accept soggy meat as part of the experience? Tbh, I think people get lazy with presentation and forget that wet ingredients change the texture of everything around them. Ngl, I'd be side-eyeing whoever set that board up because that's just bad planning. You gotta ask - do they even taste the food they're serving, or is it just about throwing stuff on a plate?

No, it's not grape juice, that's just wetness from washing them right before serving.
